From Inspiration to Action: Majed Alseyabi's Journey to Promote Coexistence

As a highly educated and experienced professional with a strong background in information systems, business analytics, and office management, Majed Alseyabi has a proven track record of success in a variety of roles.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (Business Solution) from the Higher College of Technology in the UAE, and has likewise completed a Nano Degree in Business Analytics.

In addition to his education, he has over 12 years of demonstrated history working in the Oil & Gas industry, Social Support, Aviation & aerospace industry. Where he worked in different positions. In his current role as Office Manager at Abu Dhabi Polymers Co. Ltd., he is responsible for managing a variety of administrative tasks and providing support to the executive team. He has been involved in several important initiatives and committees within the organization, including the HSE Focus Committee, the UAE-France Strategic Dialogue Committee, and the Borouge REACH program.

Throughout his career, he has gained valuable skills and knowledge through a variety of training courses and certifications, including courses in etiquette and diplomatic conduct, team leading, professional development, internal auditing, business communications, and integrated management systems.  

In addition, Majed has participated in mentoring programs and completed a Train of Trainer (TOT) course.

Alseyabi is extremely dedicated to continuing his professional development and making a positive impact in his work and community. He has expressed to be really excited to bring his skills and experience to new challenges and opportunities.

Recently, Majed has worked with the American Jewish Community as a Project Interchange Alumni and joined forces with other members of civil society to approach the United States government. The goal was to engage civil society members and explore how they could work together and see how the United States government, in alignment with the Abrahamic Accords countries, could uplift this cause and mission.

It is believed that forging long-lasting relations is rooted in interpersonal interactions, not just through organizational efforts. Despite these challenges, this young and passionate Emirati hopes to take every opportunity to work with notable platforms, such as Global Excellence Assembly, where the message of understanding can be advocated for.

Majed has personally witnessed the Arab and Jewish community living harmoniously in the United Arab Emirates and hopes to see this bear more fruit across borders as he is constantly inspired by those who have worked on the mission to bring the Arab and Jewish communities together.

Majed has confessed that H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has played a significant role in empowering and inspiring him to pursue this mission.

Al Nahyan has emphasized the importance of building a tolerant community that transcends race, religion, and ethnicity and has stated that the Accord is aligned with the UAE's vision for a stable, forward-thinking, and moderate region that prioritizes youth, coexistence, peace, and prosperity.’’ – says Alseyabi.

“In a world where corporate growth and one's career success are seen as dictating one's value and role in society, nothing personally fulfills an individual more than pursuing their mission and advocacy and taking actionable steps towards it.” – he concludes.

Global Excellence Assembly has bestowed upon Majed Alseyabi the 2022 Men of Influence Award in recognition of his outstanding efforts to bridge the divide between the Arab and Jewish communities, thus promoting harmony and cooperation between them.
