The Global Excellence Assembly has announced His Excellency Eng. Esmaeel Hassan Esmaeel Al Blooshi, General Director at RAK Transport Authority – Government of Ras Al Khaimah, as the recipient of its coveted Executive of the Year Award for 2023. This recognition commends Eng. Eng. Al Blooshi has consistently demonstrated his leadership skills and forward-thinking mindset through a series of transformative milestones that have positioned RAK Transport Authority as a leading institution in transport innovation and customer-centric services.

Since his appointment as General Director in April 2019, Eng. Al Blooshi embarked on an extensive review of RAK Transport Authority's operations. Foreseeing the future needs of a dynamic transport environment, he led an initiative in collaboration with Microsoft to establish a cloud storagesystem, a move that significantly enhanced institutional operations and processes.

In a personal statement, Eng. Al Blooshi remarked, "It is our obligation as leaders to anticipate change and navigate our teams effectively through it. Under his leadership, the Authority launched several pioneering initiatives in the region, including the introduction of electric scooters and bicycles for micro-mobility, and the inception of maritime transportation service, an innovative approach that provided residents and tourists with new commuting options.

His visionary thinking also led to the implementation of a state-of-the-art taxi service, equipped with smart meters and cameras, a move that not only enhanced the safety of the service but also significantly improved customer experience.

As a vocal advocate for environmental sustainability, Eng. Al Blooshi directed the development of the ambitious RAK Green Mobility Framework. The goal of this initiative is a complete transition of the taxifleet to hybrid vehicles by 2024 and 50% of the fleet to electric vehicles by 2027.

Under Eng. Al Blooshi's stewardship, RAK Transport Authority has seen an impressive increase in customer satisfaction rates, hitting a record 94%. The Authority's digital transformation strategy was so successful that it was featured as a case study on Microsoft's official website, cementing its place as a model for digital innovation.

Eng. Esmaeel Al Blooshi's leadership has not only changed the face of transportation in Ras Al Khaimah but also fostered a workplace culture that encourages growth, innovation, and job satisfaction.

Under his tenure, RAK Transport Authority has seen anotable improvement in employee satisfaction, which rose from 34% in 2019 to an impressive 94% in 2022. Eng.
